Experience the perfect blend of spa serenity and poolside elegance with a spool designed for comfort, ambiance, and high-end customization.
Compact Luxury, Elevated Comfort
A spool—a seamless blend of spa and pool—is the ultimate answer for homeowners seeking both relaxation and refreshment in a space-conscious format. Designed for comfort, therapy, and stylish functionality, spools deliver year-round enjoyment with minimal footprint. Whether integrated into a contemporary courtyard, a redesigned patio, or a cozy backyard oasis, these versatile systems provide the warmth of a spa and the cool elegance of a plunge pool in one cohesive, personalized experience. At All Aqua Pools, each custom pool installation is engineered to reflect your routine, your taste, and the way you want to live.
From a design perspective, spools offer a unique opportunity for creative expression. With built-in bench seating, soft lighting, precision jets, and optional waterfalls or fire features, they can feel like a tranquil spa retreat—or a chic, modern entertaining zone. Their scale makes them ideal for compact properties, rooftop spaces, or remodeling projects that call for luxury without overwhelming the layout. Every curve, finish, and control is chosen to elevate ambiance and create a tactile, immersive escape that feels tailored to you.
Behind the scenes, spools are built with the same craftsmanship and durability as larger luxury pool designs. Their smaller water volume allows for faster heating and responsive temperature control, while high-efficiency equipment and automation ensure seamless daily operation. From circulation to lighting, every detail is fine-tuned to support both leisure and longevity—even with heavy, year-round use.
Spools are particularly well-suited for homeowners who value wellness, flexibility, and design sophistication. Whether you’re looking to unwind solo, host guests, or enjoy hydrotherapy benefits, this hybrid pool style adapts to the occasion—and elevates the environment. With All Aqua Pools guiding your spool installation or remodeling, luxury and practicality come together in perfect, compact harmony.

Features & Capabilities of Spools
Spools—part spa, part pool—are crafted for those who want therapeutic comfort and visual elegance in one compact, high-performing design. These hybrid systems are ideal for soaking, socializing, or unwinding in temperature-controlled water, year-round. With built-in seating, heated jets, and integrated lighting, spools offer all the benefits of a full spa, while retaining the cooling capability and spatial versatility of a small pool. At All Aqua Pools, every custom pool installation is thoughtfully engineered to deliver both ambiance and performance in a format that fits seamlessly into modern outdoor living.
Though compact in size, spools demand the same technical precision as full-sized systems. Their multi-purpose nature requires coordinated plumbing, heating, and automation systems that can seamlessly switch between therapeutic warmth and refreshingly cool relaxation. Whether you’re building into a patio courtyard or integrating into a luxury remodeling project, the complexity lies in achieving maximum comfort with minimal visual footprint.
Here’s how we build high-performance spools that run as beautifully as they look:
Optional Add-Ons for Your Spool Installation
A spool is more than a water feature—it’s an atmosphere. It’s the place where firelight dances, music lingers, and warm water surrounds you in stillness or celebration. At All Aqua Pools, we specialize in crafting spools that feel like luxury destinations—through purposeful enhancements that amplify ambiance, automate control, and extend your outdoor season with ease.
Effortless Control with Full Pool + Spa Automation
The heart of every great spool is flexibility. With smart automation systems, you can switch between cool soak and heated jets in an instant, schedule the temperature to rise before sunset, or set custom lighting scenes—all from your phone. It’s intuitive luxury, built into the core of your space.
Ambiance You Can Feel—Lighting, Sound, and Movement
Transform every evening into an experience with programmable LED lighting that adapts to your mood—serene blues, warm golds, or vibrant color shows. Add discreet outdoor audio for spa playlists or conversation-level ambiance. And for a sensory upgrade that soothes without taking up space, consider a blade waterfall or raised spillover wall to introduce tranquil motion and sound.
Fire Features That Elevate and Warm
Few upgrades rival the drama and intimacy of fire near water. Whether it’s a linear fire bowl, a built-in fire pit, or a raised fire wall beside the spool, the glow of flame against still water creates a cinematic feel that turns every soak into an event.
Small Space, Big Design—Decking & Structural Enhancements
Because spools are often centerpieces, the space around them matters just as much. Surround your spool with elevated decking, sunken seating areas, or custom privacy screens for a spa-like sense of enclosure. A cantilevered shade structure or architectural pergola brings usability to sun-drenched afternoons, while keeping the space visually light and modern.
Seamless Comfort with Saltwater & Heating
A salt chlorine generator ensures softer, skin-friendly water with minimal maintenance—especially important in high-temperature settings. Pair it with a high-efficiency pool heater for fast, reliable warmth whenever the mood strikes. With a small volume, heating is quick and surprisingly efficient—an everyday indulgence that’s always ready.
Finish with Luxury—Tile, Seating & Detail
The beauty of a smaller water body? You can go bolder with the details. From glass mosaic interiors to custom tile patterns, your spool becomes a work of art. Integrated bench seating, ergonomic jet placements, and textured coping tie it all together—visually clean, tactilely rich, and irresistibly inviting.
At All Aqua Pools, we believe every spool should feel custom-built for you—because it is. Every add-on we offer enhances the experience without overwhelming the design. Whether you’re entertaining guests, winding down in silence, or slipping into the water with a glass in hand and the firelight flickering beside you—your spool is more than a pool. It’s your signature space. Designed to impress. Built to restore. Ready when you are.

Benefits of Choosing This Pool Type
Choosing a spool is choosing versatility, comfort, and atmosphere—wrapped into one refined, beautifully efficient design. More than a traditional spa and far more dynamic than a small pool, a spool adapts to your life with precision. It offers warmth in winter, cool relief in summer, and visual elegance every season in between. Whether it’s part of a new custom pool installation or a dramatic outdoor remodeling, this hybrid design makes a powerful statement in even the most compact footprints.
From a design perspective, spools deliver maximum impact without demanding extensive space. Their tailored proportions allow them to blend seamlessly into modern patios, private courtyards, or elevated terraces—making them ideal for high-end residential lots or homes seeking a functional showpiece. With integrated seating, ambient lighting, and personalized finishes, spools elevate the aesthetics of your landscape while reinforcing the architectural intent of your home. A well-designed spool doesn’t just complement outdoor living—it becomes the reason you spend more time outside.
In terms of performance, spools shine. Their smaller water volume means faster, more energy-efficient heating, more consistent water circulation, and simpler maintenance compared to larger pools. Add in options like automation, salt systems, or fire features, and your outdoor space becomes a four-season retreat—offering therapeutic comfort, visual serenity, and complete control at your fingertips. For homeowners who prioritize relaxation, social connection, or self-care, this pool type delivers unmatched functionality in a remarkably beautiful form.
Perhaps most compelling is what a spool symbolizes: intention. It tells the story of a homeowner who chooses quality over size, experience over scale. It’s a design choice for those who seek serenity without excess and elegance without compromise. With All Aqua Pools leading your installation or luxury pool design, your spool becomes more than a feature—it becomes a destination. One that’s intimate, timeless, and crafted to reflect how you want to feel at home.

They built our pool in the spring of 2012. We could not be more pleased with the finished product. Chad Erickson and his crew and company were very forthright to deal with. They take great pride in the quality of their work. They are organized and finished the pool according to the time schedule that was established. The Ericksons were on site many times after the pool was finished making sure that all systems were in working order. And they are a friendly lot and can easily be communicated with.
All Aqua Pools built my pool which exceeded my expectations. After meeting the owner, Chad Erickson, we found that between his enthusiasm for his work and the fact that he would self perform most of the labor and all of the supervision we decided to allow All Aqua Pools to build our dream pool.
Chad was very big on building pools that are low maintenance and energy efficient. Floor circulation, two speed pump, LED Lighting, Salt system and Large filter. We are so happy now that we took his advice.
Chad did exactly what he told us he would do; he did over 75% of all the labor, supervised the rest and built our swimming pool in 4 weeks just in time for labor Day. Chad was there for every phase, every day, whether performing the work or supervising the work.
This letter serves as a thank you for your professionalism and quality pool product provided to our family this past summer. We certainly understand that this pool project was not a cookie-cutter type project and required over and above expertise and creativity to implement. With three different elevations to work with and various extra bells and whistles along the way, it certainly required a knowledgeable staff to make it all come together. And that is what you provided.
We appreciate your attention to our issues and concerns and attempts to remedy them promptly. Your priority of great customer service is apparent. Thank you again and we will be happy to refer you to others considering hiring you for their future pool project needs.
All Aqua Pools, Inc. designed and built our 10′ X 18′ heated swimming pool with a floor circulation & debris removal system, and surrounding acrylic pool deck. They installed a retaining wall. Pool equipment includes a two speed pump and salt chlorinator. Contract included permits, excavation, electrical hookups, and poolside “Pool School” to ensure we understood all systems, operations, and maintenance. They cleaned the job site daily during construction leaving no trash piles anywhere in our yard.
We’ve had the experience of hiring Chad Erickson of All Aqua Pools to custom design and build our dream pool. We had many meetings before the start of the pool and Chad was very knowledgeable and helpful with all of our questions.

What You Need To Know
Check out some key peices of information that you need to know before building your dream pool with All Aqua Pools.
What happens during the design consultation?
Our design consultation is a detailed, two-part process with one of our experienced staff members and designers. In the first meeting, we evaluate your backyard layout using your provided property survey, measure access points, and discuss your vision, needs, and budget. We then use this information to create a custom 3D design. During the second meeting, we present the design in your home, make adjustments if needed, and provide final proposal documents. This is followed by color selections and permit preparation.
Do you offer financing options for custom pools?
Yes, we do. All Aqua Pools proudly partners with Lyon Financial , a trusted leader in swimming pool financing since 1979. They offer tailored loan programs specifically for inground pool projects, with features designed to make your backyard investment more accessible. There’s no impact on your credit to check your rate, and the pre-approval process is quick and hassle-free. Whether you’re building a standard pool or a high-end custom design, financing through Lyon helps you move forward with confidence.
How long does it take to build a pool from start to finish?
Once your permit is approved — which can take 1 to 4 weeks depending on your municipality — construction begins with the dig. From there, your pool is typically completed and filled within 4 to 8 weeks, depending on project size and selected features. We start the pool systems right away and guide you through Pool School before handing everything over.
What kind of warranty do you offer?
We use only premium-grade equipment from trusted brands like StaRite. All pumps, filters, heaters, automation systems, lights, and salt chlorine generators come with a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty, fully backed by our team. If anything goes wrong within that period, repairs or replacements are covered at no cost to you. For more information get in touch with a member of our team.
